Join the PCMG27 Assembly Steering Group
Applications Close 28th October
PCMG is looking for experienced clinical development outsourcing professionals to join the Steering Group for the 2027 Annual Assembly.
This is a programme-focused role. Steering Group members will help shape the content of the Assembly, identify and secure strong industry speakers, develop individual sessions and take an active role on stage in Porto.
PCMG27 will explore the changing clinical outsourcing environment, with particular focus on areas including outsourcing strategy, supplier selection and partnerships. The programme will also cover wider issues affecting clinical development outsourcing.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Steering Group member, you will:
- Help identify the most relevant topics and issues for the PCMG27 programme.
- Review submitted abstracts and help identify contributions that would strengthen the PCMG27 programme.
- Use your industry knowledge and network to identify suitable speakers and contributors.
- When agreed with the group, approach and engage speakers from across sponsor and service-provider organisations.
- Take responsibility for developing allocated sessions with the speakers involved.
- Help determine the most appropriate session format, including presentations, panels, debates, case studies and interactive sessions.
- Work with speakers to ensure content is practical, balanced and relevant to the PCMG audience.
- Ensure sessions remain educational and non-promotional, challenging content where it becomes too commercial
- Chair or moderate sessions on stage during the Assembly
What commitment is required?
Steering Group members should be able to:
- Attend at least one Steering Group meeting per month during programme development.
- Commit additional time between meetings to speaker outreach and session development.
- Attend the PCMG Annual Assembly in Porto, 14-16 June 2027.
- Be comfortable taking an active role on stage.
This is not an event administration or logistics role. The Steering Group’s focus is the quality, relevance and delivery of the programme.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for people with:
- Strong knowledge of clinical development outsourcing.
- A good network across the industry and a willingness to use it.
- The judgement to identify credible, engaging speakers and valuable session ideas.
- The confidence to challenge speakers and keep sessions focused on learning rather than promotion.
- A willingness to contribute actively rather than simply act in an advisory capacity.
- We welcome applications from both sponsor-side and service-provider professionals.
If you have the experience, network and willingness to help build and lead a strong industry programme, fill in the application form below.
