PCMG27 Call for Abstracts

PCMG27 will focus on clinical development outsourcing, sourcing, procurement and supplier partnership, bringing sponsor organisations and service providers together to examine how organisations decide what to outsource, how to source it, how to select the right partners and how to make those partnerships work.

We are inviting session proposals from professionals with practical experience, evidence, case studies and perspectives that can contribute to these discussions.

Submission Guidelines

What makes a strong submission? (see more)
Strong submissions should:

Be practical and relevant to clinical development outsourcing, sourcing, procurement or supplier partnership

Be grounded in real experience, evidence or case studies.

Offer clear learning or takeaways for delegates.

Include different perspectives where relevant, including challenges and lessons learned.

Be educational, not promotional.

Create opportunities for discussion, problem-solving or audience participation

Product demonstrations, sales pitches and company-led promotional presentations will not be accepted as part of the main programme.
How will submissions be assessed?
The Steering Group will consider:

Relevance to clinical development outsourcing, sourcing, procurement and supplier partnership.

Practical value and lessons learned.

Fresh insight, evidence or experience.

The strength of the different perspectives represented.

Potential to encourage dialogue and problem-solving across stakeholder groups.

The proposed approach to audience engagement.
Collaborative service-provider submissions

For submissions from service providers, a named sponsor-side contributor or client must be included at the point of submission.
PCMG is particularly interested in hearing about collaboration in practice, with both sides of the relationship contributing to the discussion.
Preparing your abstract
The title should be no more than 80 characters.
The abstract should be no more than 300 words.
Please write in clear, accessible English.
If selected, the abstract may also be used as the session description.
Speaker Information

Up to four presenters may be included. Please list the lead presenter first as the main contact, and ensure all proposed presenters have agreed to participate, and for their details to be used in marketing before submission.

A headshot and 80–150 word biography are required for each speaker. Headshots should be at least 400 × 400 pixels and must not be AI-generated or AI-edited.
Multiple submissions
Audience interaction

Audience participation is an important part of the PCMG Assembly, and we encourage speakers to build interaction into their session rather than relying solely on a traditional presentation.
As part of your submission, please tell us how you plan to involve the audience. This might include questions or polls through the event app, facilitated discussion using roving microphones, case scenarios, table discussions or practical exercises. Please also tell us if your session will require any additional materials, such as worksheets, handouts or other resources.
You will be asked about audience interaction as part of the abstract submission form, and it is important that you answer in as much detail as possible.

Before you begin, please make sure:

Read all of the submission guidelines
You have approval from your organisation to present and attend PCMG27 if accepted.
You have your speaker bio and headshot ready.
You have confirmed any co-speakers or contributors and have their contact details, headshot and bio.
Your abstract is no more than 300 words and meets the submission guidelines.
If you are submitting on behalf of a service provider, you have confirmed a named sponsor-side contributor or client.
