Amar leads Deloitte’s European Life Sciences and Healthcare M&A advisory team, where he has guided founders, corporates, and private equity firms through complex transactions. With over 15 years of dedicated experience, Amar specialises in all facets of M&A across the life science and healthcare sectors, with a particular emphasis on the life science services segment.
His expertise is built on a robust foundation, having advised on a wide spectrum of M&A deals, including cross-border transactions and licensing agreements. Prior to his tenure at Deloitte, Amar gained invaluable insights from the pharmaceutical industry, holding roles of increasing seniority in sales and marketing at Merck Serono and Actavis. This hands-on industry experience is complemented by his background in investment banking in Paris, where he focused on medtech and biotech M&A and licensing transactions.
